This year, the Disabled Students’ Campaign was asked by the Disability Resource Centre to produce a presentation introducing new students who had disclosed a disability to what it’s really like to study at Cambridge, and to explain some key Cambridge ideas and systems in more detail.

In order to make it accessible to students who weren’t able to attend the events, the presentation was abridged into a 30-page freshers guide.

The guide is a simple, plain-text document with image descriptions that talks through complicated ideas like Cambridge’s College system, what a supervision is, and welfare issues like impostor syndrome, as well as what it’s like to live in Cambridge as a city and some recommendations of places to go.

A version of the guide can be downloaded here.
